COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
At Uplift Solutions, we are closely monitoring the rapidly changing conditions related COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as it makes its way into American Communities. As we continue to respond to the changing environment, we hold the health and wellbeing of our colleagues, interns, volunteers, donors, board members, stakeholders, and communities we serve as our top priority.
As a result of the current conditions and advisories, Uplift has moved to a virtual working environment and have made changes to both our Workforce Solutions and Philly Food Rescue programs:
Workforce Solutions – Effective Monday, March 16th at 5:00 PM, we have suspended in-person training for our workforce development training program, Workforce Solutions. We are following health official and local legislative guidance, and will resume operations when conditions permit. While we have suspended classroom training, we are still supporting our most vulnerable citizens through virtual assistance that includes benefits navigation.
Philly Food Rescue – As an important source of food for people vulnerable to hunger, we have continued operations and increased our efforts to serve more people as they become susceptible to food insecurity. While we remain unwaveringly engaged in the fight to support our communities, we are taking extreme measures to keep our staff, volunteers, donors, and food recipients safe and healthy.
